Knitting Project - Session One

Proposed Dates: Mondays, Thursdays 1/4/21 – 2/12/21 Class Times: 12:30 – 1:30 pm EST

Make-up Class: Wednesday 2/10/21, Time: 12:00 – 1:00 pm EST

Fix-It Classes: Wednesdays 1/6/21. 1/13/21, 1/20/21, 1/27/21, 2/3/21 Time: 12:00 – 12:30 pm EST

Knitting:  Hat with Tassels or Kitty Ears

  • A great hat to knit whether you are a beginner or a more experienced knitter.  Variations make it fun for knitters of different skill levels.
  • Student must be at least 8 years old and know their right hand from their left and be able to work for a class period (1 hour), with small breaks- Class size is limited: 6 – 10 students.  

Parent Supervision Required

Students will receive:

  • 12 On-line Handwork Classes – Opportunity to work with a classmate buddy
  •  5 Fix-It Classes (optional) between classes to help each other and enjoy 
  • 1 Make-up Class a new friend.
  • Small class size (6-10 students) – Opportunity to share pictures of their progress
  • Access to teacher via text to and their finished project on the Head, Heart & Handwork answer questions. Handwork Classroom Facebook Page.

  • Child size: 150 grams of Bulky #5 wool yarn
  • Adult size: 200 grams of Bulky #5 wool yarn
  • One pair Single-pointed knitting needles – size 10, 6 mm
  • One Clover Soft Touch Crochet Hook – size G, 4 mm
  • Large-eye Blunt Steel Yarn Needle
