About Head, Heart & Handwork
Through HEAD, HEART & HANDWORK, my goal is to bring the joy and benefits of creating handcrafted projects to both children and adults. Using the artistic Waldorf teaching methods that may include poetry, imagery and storytelling, I bring the beauty of learning with an experiential and unhurried approach to every student
Steeped in the understanding of teaching handcrafted projects to students from ages 7 to 70, I am offering classes that will include projects in knitting, crocheting, doll-making, needlework, needle-felting, seasonal projects and specialty projects.
Also available will be custom curricula that meet the special needs of the homeschooling community. My many years of teaching in a Waldorf middle school (including Math, Language Arts, Fiber Arts, Sculpting) give me a unique perspective on both your needs as homeschoolers and a sense of what works. Whether you’re interested in a six-week class project, or a year-long multi-disciplinary program; from spinning yarn to a full-length original puppet performance, I am ready and able to help.
Because there is no “one size fits all” approach to successful learning, our projects are available in different instructional configurations:
Level 1. On-line instructional project videos
Level 2. On-line instructional project videos with weekly Zoom support from Ms. Till
Level 3. Live Zoom classes with Ms. Till that meet for a one-hour class twice weekly for the duration of the project, weekly Fix-It classes, and one Finish up Zoom class.
Each Project Page describes the levels offered and all other pertinent information to help you move forward. We also promote the Account-a-bil-a-buddy Program in Level 3, allowing students to support and help each other with the project on-line while getting to know a new friend.
Head, Heart & Handwork has created a platform to teach remotely to children and adults in a kind, fun and respectful way. We are looking to meet the needs of the students, so we would love to hear from you if our programs might be a good fit for your educational lesson plans or if you just want to learn a new skill.
